Pintos are spotted horses that are best known as cowboy and Indian horses.

Pintos have truly unique and beautiful patterns on their coats, giving these horses even more personality. Despite this, Pintos are not a separate breed, but rather the result of color breeding found in almost all breeds. Regarding their coats, a distinction is made between "overos" and "tobianos." Overos have a colored coat with white markings. Their heads are also usually completely white. This is called "lantern." In contrast, tobianos have white coats with colored markings. Their legs and back are usually white.
